Dispute Resolution plays an integral role in health care. For example, facilitation and mediation can be used manage conflicts between a patient and a health care organization; between a patient and one’s doctor; between a patient and insurer; and to address end-of-life and other bioethical issues.
Health care organizations have increasingly recognized the value of establishing internal dispute resolution systems, which can serve to support early conflict prevention and management. CCN principals have the experience and expertise to assist in the development of these internal systems, provide effective conflict coaching at all levels of decisional authority, and mediate the resolution of disputes.
